She is board certified in Internal Medicine, has been in medical practice for nearly 30 years and is the founder and director of The Ommani Center for Integrative Medicine which has established a new standard in Integrative Medicine for the past 20 years and the only green and sustainable health care clinic in the U.S.

She is a prolific speaker, has keynoted and facilitated numerous talks and workshops, interviews, television and radio appearances, authored a prolific blog, published hundreds of articles, including the Huffington post and medium.com. She was voted top doctor in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine in 2013 and 2011 and was the winner of the Healthcare Hero Corporate Achievement Award in 2006. She was the winner of the YWCA Woman of the year in 1992 and voted Woman of Distinction in 1992.
